3rd Annual Project Protect Winter Clothing Drive (2024)
Help us make a difference this winter by donating to the 3rd Annual Winter Clothing Drive, organized by Project Protect Food Systems Workers!
Your donations will be delivered directly to agricultural workers and their families by the Project Protect Promotora Network, a trusted group of culturally and linguistically skilled community health navigators who connect with thousands of workers each year. Recently, agricultural workers across the state contacted their local promotora with urgent requests for winter essentials like gloves, hats, socks, and coats to help workers and their children brave Colorado's freezing temperatures. To meet this growing need, our goal for 2024 is to collect:
-
500 pairs of gloves
-
500 winter hats
-
1,000 pairs of warm socks
-
1,000 long-sleeve shirts or coats
Every donation counts!

Why Your Support Matters
Agricultural workers play a critical role in sustaining Colorado’s food systems by working tirelessly in extreme conditions. In 2024, many workers are still facing economic and physical challenges exacerbated by unpredictable weather and rising costs of living. Heavy rains over the past year negatively impacted crop growth and worker earnings, leaving families with fewer resources to prepare for Colorado’s harsh winter.
While many Coloradans enjoy the holidays with winter sports and festive gatherings, agricultural workers will continue tending livestock, sorting crops, and preparing fields for the next growing season. Despite their essential contributions, many struggle to afford basic winter clothing for themselves and their children. Your support directly impacts these families, providing them with warmth and protection during the harshest months of the year.
Join us in showing gratitude for their hard work by donating today!
We’re thrilled to partner with organizations across the state to make this drive a success. If your organization is interested in partnering for our second drive from January 17th to March 1st, please contact FrontLine Farming at info@frontlinefarming.org.
