Bookkeeper

Type: Salaried, Exempt, Full Time - Location: On Site and Independent / Remote

Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate: $50,000 - $53,000 per year, plus FT benefit package worth $7,140, detailed below

Role: Bookkeeping to support work of Business Operations Director. Day-to-day expense and income tracking in QuickBooks Online and preparation of monthly financial reports including monthly reconciliations and yearly audit tasks. Maintaining financial records for fiscal sponsorship relationships including payroll, monthly reporting and invoicing.

The following position responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with minimal supervision:
BOOKKEEPING and FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Responsible for all day-to-day bookkeeping of the organization including but not limited to:
Fiscal Sponsorship Accounting
Monthly reporting for fiscal sponsees
Run semi-monthly payroll for fiscal sponsees
Process all reimbursement requests
Accounts receivable - Invoice creation, tracking and payment reminders
Ensure all grant accounts are accurately tracking income and expenses
Knowledge of all fiscal sponsee grant needs including reimbursables, dates of payments and contract reporting needs (timesheets, trial balance reports, etc).
Overall Bookkeeping
Logging and matching of all expenses and deposits
Bank and other financial accounting monthly reconciliations
Communication with accounting team to maintain clean and organized books.
Audit Tasks including communication with accounting team to ensure all audit documents are turned in by deadline
Knowledge of integrations with QBO, website payments and payroll systems, regular audits to ensure integrations are functioning
Execute journal entries, account analysis, and accrual-based accounting tasks
Participate in the development and advancement of best practices

Other Consdierations: ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
Work with farm team one day per week to plant, harvest and weed as directed by farm managers.
Attend community events such as World Heritage Potlucks, Farm to Table on August 29, Black BBQ on September 19 and Corn Fest on October 3. These events are part of our mission to work with and feed the community.
Attend at least one FLF Farm Class: Seed Saving, Chickens, Flowers, Natural Dyeing, and Mushrooms.
Clear, solution-oriented, and respectful communication (written, digital and verbal) with FLF leadership team, co-workers, volunteers, customers and visitors.
Prepare a meal for the team on one Wednesday per season with support.
Participation in farm-related groups such as Mile High Farmers and National Young Farmers; staying informed and connected to what is going on in the Front Range around farming.
Lead by example with work ethic, punctuality, and professional demeanor.
Self-directed, able to take initiative, and demonstrated attention to detail and program management with regular communication to leadership as initiatives arise.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and comfortable working with diverse groups of community stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize appropriately
This position includes 2 in-office days, one farm day during the season and one Sunday per month (max) assisting in our food distribution work.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, and related field experience at least 4 years.
Experience in GAAP accounting, compliance and reporting
Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and processes
QBO Certification or related experience
Excellent computer skills and capacity for learning new systems
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a virtual team
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of staff
Excellent organization and planning, analytical, communications, and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and manage many clients simultaneously

Farm Crew Part Time

Type: Part Time

Hours: 25 hrs per week

Rate: $21 / hr

Start Date: ASAP

Role: Under the general direction of the site’s Farm Manager, this position works in all aspects of sustainable food production. The role includes: farm site work including following Manager leadership for crop plans, on-site volunteer guidance, crop health and pest management, and general farm duties. This position is empowered to ensure their site functions at peak production and works in companionship and collaboration with farmers and our other sites. Must be aligned with the mission of FrontLine Farming and confidently communicate about programs, services, goals and values. This space and opportunity is geared toward Black, Indigenous, People of Color and womxn.

Other Consdierations: This position is not intended for new or learning farmers. One full season of previous, related work is required for consideration, either on a produce farm or landscaping. This is a non-negotiable requirement. With multiple seasons of experience, we will consider a higher pay rate.

Cultivators’ Education Assistant

Type: Nonexempt, Part time, Hourly, Seasonal, In person

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week

Rate: $23 per hour

Start Date: May 18, 2026

Role: FrontLine Farming is seeking a dependable, organized, and youth-centered Education Assistant to assist with and, at times, lead components of our Summer Black Teen Cultivators Program. This program serves Black teens through hands-on farming, food systems education, and leadership development. Cultivators Education Assistant is expected to actively supervise and manage teens, lead educational activities, uphold safety and behavioral expectations, and model professionalism and leadership in both farm and educational settings. The ideal candidate brings at least two (2) years of experience working directly with youth and has practical awareness of farming, agriculture, or outdoor education environments.

Other Consdierations: Required Qualifications
* At least two (2) years of experience working directly with youth, preferably in educational, outdoor, or community-based settings
* Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise groups of teenagers in active, hands-on environments
* Experience leading or co-leading educational activities, lessons, or workshops for youth
* Foundational knowledge of farming, agriculture, food systems, or outdoor work environments
* Ability to give clear directions, manage time and tasks, and follow through consistently
* Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and reliability when working with minors
* Active driver’s license with no accidents or traffic violations within the past 3 years, pass a criminal background check with no mark downs for DUIs, criminal behavior around children or violence.

Preferred Qualifications
* Background in education, youth development, farming, environmental education, or food systems work
* Experience with farm-based education or outdoor classroom settings
* Comfort driving a large vehicle or willingness to be coached in driving
* Food handling or meal preparation experience
* Physical & Work Environment
* Outdoor farm and learning spaces in varying weather conditions
* Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs
* Early morning start times
* Active, hands-on work requiring sustained engagement and leadership with youth
